SCC Hill Climb

SCC HILL CLIMB – Wednesday 2nd September 2026 Stonehaven Cycling Club invite (& encourage) you to take part in the 2026 hill climb. The event will be held on the AWCC hill climb route, Cryne Corse Road, just off the Slug Road in the shadow of the Durris mast, nr Mongour summit. Plenty time to put some specific power session into your training for this event OR plenty time to conjure up a convincing reason not to take part but attend to encourage your fellow riders up the hill! Combine it with your Wednesday training ride to see who really is fastest up the hills. A Spond event has been set-up for this event, please add you name if you plan to attend, also helps make arrangements for the number of riders expected as well as snacks and refreshments. This is open to CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. Closing date Monday 31st August @ 1800. We are also looking for some volunteers to help. Turbo Training

SCC Turbo Training starts on the 29th September '26. The structured Tuesday and Thursday sessions have been revamped by Kevin from Total Endurance. The sessions are a group event run over Zoom and start at 1830 prompt. A ZWO file is available for each session and this is uploaded to your chosen cycling software - zwift, fulgaz etc. There is a cost of £20 which will go directly to Scottish Air Ambulance, SCC's chosen charity of the year. An evening with Markus Stitz

SCC Weekend Away

Mar Lodge Bunkhouse for Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th October. I will be working Friday so will drive up after work. As such I can organise to collect and transport luggage. The cost will be £64 per person. Catering arrangements will be confirmed at a later date, (but will possibly be breakfast/ lunch - bring your own food and dinner both nights will be catered, with costs split and everyone will be expected to help).
