The Glory of the 'Redo' or 'Undo'

Starting and finishing in Stonehaven’s Baird Park (Beer Festival) on Saturday 18th June, our 72 mile route takes in the Cairn O’ Mount in both directions (REDO) or 52 mile route takes in the Cairn O’ Mount in one direction (UNDO). Be prepared for the big climbs and spectacular views – this route will be a challenge that brings its own reward.

As part of the Midsummer Beer Happening in Stonehaven, the 2nd addition of the 'REDO' (72m) will be held once again on Saturday 18th June 2016. Starting in waves from 8.30am with complimentary t-shirt, goodie bag, entry to beer festival… and sore legs.

This year we will have a shorter UNDO (52m) straight back to Stonehaven for those wanting to get a beer in earlier!!!

Information

The focus of this event is on enjoyment - and a little self-reliance - over 72 miles (REDO) or 52m (UNDO), but here is some helpful information:

Free car parking can be had close by at Stonehaven open air pool.

A watering hole is provided at half and three quarters… where isotonic juice, water, energy bars and bananas will be provided along with toilets.

Mechanical support will be provided at the start/finish, motorcycle back up en-route with a broom wagon following the rear. You should however come prepared for all eventualities.

Route profiles are coming along with download GPS route maps etc. expected elevation is approx 5,500ft(REDO).

All entrants must be over 18. Registration from 7.30am on Saturday 18th June.

Special considerations

All right hand turns.
All downhills, especially Cowton and Cairn o'Mount.
Sharp left hand turn at Clattering brig.

Waves

1st Wave 8.30am (5.5hrs/13mph).
2nd Wave 8.45am (5hrs/14.5mph).
3rd Wave 9am (4.5hrs/16mph).
4th Wave 9.15am (4hrs/18mph).
